Benjamin Duterde, (nom de scène Ben l'Oncle Soul au début de sa carrière devient BEN avec son quatrième album Addicted to you.), est un chanteur français né 1984 à Tours.

Il est diplômé des Beaux-Arts à Tours en 2007. Repéré par la chanteuse Laure Milan, il chante pour sa première partie à l'Olympia.

Il signe avec la maison de production Motown France. En 2009, il sort son premier EP Soul Wash. Son premier album, Ben l'Oncle Soul, sort 2010. Il compte quatorze titres en anglais et en français, dans un registre de musique soul des années 1960.

Lors d'une tournée, il fait l'ouverture du grand concert gratuit du Festival de jazz de Montréal de 2011. Il joue au North Sea Jazz Festival, juillet 2011, et participe à Later with Jools Holland sur BBC.

L'album Live Paris sort octobre 2011.  Suivent les albums À coup de rêves, enregistré avec le groupe californien Monophonics, en 2013, et Under my skin en 2016, un travail de réinterprétation de chansons de Frank Sinatra.

Le 27 Mars 2020 sort l'album Addicted to you, sous son nouveau nom de scène, Ben. 

On March 27, 2020 the album Addicted to you was released, under his new stage name, Ben.

Son nœud papillon emprunté à son grand-père lui donne son surnom d'« Oncle Ben » en référence au visage de la marque de riz Uncle Ben's mais pour éviter des problèmes de droits avec cette dernière son nom de scène officiel devient « Ben l'Oncle Soul » en 2009.

His bow tie borrowed from his grandfather gives him his nickname "Uncle Ben" with reference to the face of the rice brand Uncle Ben's but to avoid rights problems with the latter, his official stage name becomes
"Ben l'Oncle Soul ” in 2009.
